Visualizing the Corporate Archive of Georg Fischer Ltd
From craft workshop to international company – founded in 1802 as a small smithy for cast steel in Schaffhausen, Georg Fischer Ltd (GF) is today a global corporation. Famous photographers such as Jakob Tuggener and Max Graf follwed this development, and their photo reportages are unique documents of technological and industrial history. ”Vibrant Industry“ marks the centenary ”100 Years of GF at Klostergut Paradies“ and makes selected photographs from the Corporate Archive available for the first time. Together with absorbing texts, contemporary history is brought to life.
Franziska Eggimann (born 1975) studied history and German in Zurich. Her particular interest and focus is Swiss industrial and technology history. She has headed the Iron Library and the Corporate Archive of Georg Fischer Ltd since 2013.
